Your accepted quote defines the exact scope. This page explains the Website Crew approach in plain language so you know what is included, what may cost extra and what remains yours.
Website builds are designed to work across current mainstream desktop, tablet and mobile sizes.
Scope, build, review, approval and launch are kept simple.
Ownership & control
Who owns what?
The goal is simple: your business should not be trapped because Website Crew helped build or connect something. Ownership is still subject to third-party licences and the exact handover stated in your quote.
Who owns my website?
After final approval and full payment, Website Crew assigns or licenses the client-specific final deliverables identified in your quote to you, to the extent we legally own and can transfer them.
Third-party software, open-source code, fonts, stock assets, platforms, plugins and similar elements remain subject to their own licences. Website Crew also keeps ownership of its reusable internal systems, methods, templates, code libraries and production processes.
Do I have to stay with Website Crew after launch?
No. Website Care is optional unless your quote specifically says otherwise. After handover, you can self-manage or appoint another provider, subject to any platform or third-party licence requirements.
Will I receive access to my website and accounts?
Where practical, key accounts such as domains, analytics, search, email and other infrastructure are created in or transferred to client-controlled ownership. Website Crew may be added as an authorised manager or technical user when needed to do the work.
Do I own the content and photos I provide?
You retain ownership of intellectual property you already owned and content you provide, subject to any third-party rights. You are responsible for having permission to use supplied photos, logos, text and other material.
What happens to logo concepts that I do not choose?
The final approved client-specific design is transferred after full payment to the extent legally owned by Website Crew. Unused concepts, drafts, templates, working files and internal process material remain Website Crew property unless your quote expressly includes them.
Can Website Crew show my finished website in its portfolio?
Unless you ask us in writing not to, Website Crew may display completed public-facing work in its website, portfolio or social media and identify your business as a client. Confidential information is not intentionally published.
Website build
What is included in the project?
Your package and accepted quote set the exact deliverables. These answers cover the most common questions about content, revisions, devices, timing and integrations.
What do I need to provide before you can build my website?
Usually we need accurate business details, services, service areas, contact information, relevant photos, existing branding, current domain or account details where required, and any other source material needed for the agreed scope.
The smoother and more complete the information is, the easier it is to keep the build moving.
Do I need to write all the website content myself?
Standard website packages are built around client-supplied business information and content. If you need help, Website Crew offers copywriting as an add-on, including standard-page copywriting and full rewrites.
What if I do not have professional photos?
We can still build around the material you have, but genuine business and project photos usually create stronger trust. If suitable third-party or stock assets are used, their licence terms still apply.
How many revisions do I get?
The revision allowance depends on your package or quote. For example, the current Business Website package includes 2 revision rounds. A revision round means one consolidated set of reasonable changes to work already inside the agreed scope.
New pages, major redesigns, changed direction or new functionality can be treated as additional work.
Can I add pages later?
Yes. Additional Website Pages are currently priced at $149 + GST per page, subject to the page content and scope.
Can you refresh or rebuild my existing website?
Yes, where the existing setup is suitable for the work. Existing Website Content Migration is available from $249 + GST, and larger refresh or rebuild work is scoped around the actual website.
Will the website work on phones and tablets?
Website Crew aims for responsive performance across current mainstream browsers and common desktop, tablet and mobile sizes. Specialist, obsolete or unusual devices are not included unless specifically scoped.
How long will the website take?
Timing depends on the project, content readiness, approvals, access and third-party dependencies. Dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing. Late content, changed instructions or third-party delays can extend the timeframe.
Where capacity allows, a Priority Build Surcharge is available from $399 + GST.
Do you connect booking systems, CRMs or ServiceM8?
Yes, for supported platforms. Standard booking or CRM connections start from $75 + GST. Complex CRM or ServiceM8 workflows are quoted after scoping.
Integrations still depend on the features, permissions, APIs and subscription plans made available by the third-party provider.
Do you build completely custom software or complex apps?
Website Crew focuses on practical professional business websites. Unless a quote specifically says otherwise, the service does not include bespoke enterprise software development, complex back-end systems or unlimited custom functionality.
Do you use templates, reusable systems or AI?
Website Crew may use design systems, reusable components, templates, code, third-party platforms, AI-assisted tools and internal workflows as part of production. You receive the agreed final deliverables; our internal production methods and reusable background systems remain Website Crew property.
Pricing & payments
What will I pay?
Website Crew pricing is designed around a defined project scope, with add-ons used when your project actually needs them.
What are your current website prices?
Current starting points are:
Starter Website: from $790 + GST
Business Website: from $1,400 + GST
All In One Business Launch: $3,490 + GST
Are there hidden setup fees?
Your accepted quote identifies the Website Crew project price and selected add-ons. Material work outside the agreed scope is not simply added without discussion; Website Crew seeks approval before carrying out material additional work.
Third-party charges such as provider subscriptions, renewals, premium domains or other external costs may be separate where they are not expressly included.
Do website projects require a deposit?
Unless your quote states different payment terms, website projects require a 50% deposit before commencement. The remaining balance is due before final launch and ownership/access handover.
Are prices inclusive of GST?
Website Crew prices are in Australian dollars. Website pricing shown on the site is generally displayed as the stated amount plus GST, unless specifically shown otherwise.
What happens if I request something outside the quote?
Website Crew will seek approval before carrying out material work outside the agreed scope. Approved additional work may be charged at a fixed add-on price or another agreed rate and can also affect timing.
What if I cancel after work has started?
Website Crew may retain or invoice a reasonable amount for work already performed, commitments made and non-recoverable third-party costs up to the cancellation date. Any unearned balance remaining after those amounts is refunded where applicable.
Domains, email & accounts
Who controls the online essentials?
Website Crew can handle the technical setup while keeping the business itself in control wherever practical.
Domain connection, mailbox configuration, testing and handover.
Domain, email, branding and website can be brought together without hiding ownership from the client.
Who owns my domain name?
Where Website Crew registers or manages a domain for you, the client should be recorded as the registrant or owner wherever practicable, subject to the relevant domain eligibility rules.
Can you register and connect a domain for me?
Yes. Domain Setup is currently $99 + GST and includes an eligible standard domain for the first 12 months, setup, website connection and registration details handed over.
What if I already own my domain?
We can connect an existing domain where access is available and the provider supports the required setup. If the domain needs recovery or transfer work, Domain Transfer / Recovery starts from $149 + GST.
Can Website Crew manage my domain renewal?
Yes, if you want us to. Domain Renewal & Management is currently available from $59 + GST per year. It is separate from Website Care.
Can you set up my business email?
Yes. Business Email Setup starts from $149 + GST for the first mailbox, including domain connection/configuration, testing and handover. Additional mailbox setup is currently $79 + GST each.
The ongoing email-provider subscription is separate.
Can you create my email signature?
Yes. One branded HTML Email Signature is currently $99 + GST. Additional staff signatures are $49 + GST each. Compatibility can vary by email client, so supported client requirements still apply.
Is hosting included forever?
The exact hosting, deployment and infrastructure arrangement is confirmed by your project setup or quote. Website Crew may use third-party hosting, DNS, CDN and infrastructure providers, which have their own terms, limits and service levels.
Website Crew does not guarantee 100% uninterrupted availability of third-party services.
Google & SEO foundations
What does Website Crew actually do?
Website Crew does not sell Google Ads or lead-management services. The focus is building a professional website and setting up the online foundations included in your selected service.
Categories, services, hours, service areas, website connection and review link setup.
Clear structure, titles, metadata and search-ready technical foundations where included.
Do you run Google Ads?
No. Google Ads management and advertising spend are not part of Website Crew's standard services. We focus on websites, online essentials and the SEO/search foundations included in the relevant package.
Do you provide SEO?
Website Crew provides SEO foundations where included, such as page titles, metadata, page structure, sitemap and search/analytics setup. This is not the same as an ongoing SEO campaign or monthly ranking service.
Do you guarantee Google rankings, leads or enquiries?
No. Website Crew does not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads, enquiries, revenue or any particular commercial result. Search visibility is influenced by competition, content, location, reviews, search-engine changes and many factors outside Website Crew's control.
Can you set up my Google Business Profile?
Yes. Google Business Profile Setup is currently $249 + GST and includes categories, services, description, hours, service areas, website connection and a review link.
Who owns my Google Business Profile?
The business should retain control of its Google account/profile. Where access is needed, Website Crew can be added as a manager or technical user rather than taking ownership away from the client.
Will you set up Analytics or Search Console?
Where included in your package, Website Crew can set up or connect analytics/search tools. Data from these services can be delayed, incomplete or affected by privacy settings, browser restrictions and third-party changes.
After launch
What happens next?
Once the site is approved, paid and launched, you can choose how hands-on you want Website Crew to remain.
What happens when the website is ready to launch?
After final approval and full payment, Website Crew completes the agreed launch and handover. Depending on the project, handover may include website files, deployment access, account access, domain/hosting information, approved brand files or other deliverables stated in your quote.
Is Website Care compulsory?
No. Website ownership does not depend on a Website Care plan. You can self-manage, choose Website Care, choose Website Care+, or appoint another provider.
What does Website Care cost?
Self-managed: $0 / month to Website Crew
Website Care: $45 + GST / month
Website Care+: $79 + GST / month
What is included in Website Care?
Website Care includes a monthly website availability check, enquiry-form test, SSL/domain connection checks and email support for findings from those checks.
Content changes, repairs and third-party provider fees are extra.
What is included in Website Care+?
Website Care+ includes everything in Website Care plus up to 30 minutes of minor updates per month, text/image changes and priority email support.
Unused time does not roll over. Major work and third-party provider fees are extra.
What if my enquiry form or email stops delivering?
Forms, mailbox delivery and notifications can depend on third-party systems, DNS, spam filters and recipient settings. Website Crew configures and tests included systems, but no provider can guarantee that every message will always be delivered or stay out of spam indefinitely.
Can I come back later for changes even if I do not have Website Care?
Yes. You can request additional work later and Website Crew can quote it based on the scope and availability. A monthly care plan is not required simply to request future work.

These are the practical questions that often come up once a project is underway.
Can you guarantee my website will never go offline or be hacked?
No website or online service can be guaranteed completely secure or available 100% of the time. Website Crew takes reasonable care with the systems it controls, while hosting, DNS, email and other third-party services have their own outages, security responsibilities and service levels.
Who is responsible for the accuracy of my business information?
You are responsible for reviewing and approving business-specific claims, prices, licences, qualifications, legal statements and other factual information before launch. Website Crew can help structure and present the information but does not provide legal advice.
Do you provide privacy or legal compliance advice?
Website Crew can implement agreed technical elements, but your business remains responsible for its legal, privacy, marketing-consent and industry-specific obligations. Website Crew is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
Can third-party platforms change after my site is launched?
Yes. Booking systems, CRMs, email providers, Google services and other platforms can change features, APIs, pricing or permissions. If a provider change requires additional work, that work may need to be quoted separately.
What happens if I approve the site and then want a major redesign?
Launch approval confirms that you have reviewed and accepted the website subject to any specifically agreed outstanding items. A major redesign or changed direction after approval is new work rather than an unlimited extension of the original revision allowance.
